Blasting
The machine is sand blasted, removing old paint,
concrete, decals and imperfections. All areas
of the equipment are sandblasted before paint,
such as front blades, or buckets, door panels,
rims, and frames.
Preparation
for Paint
After blasting, the machine is blown dry to remove
any surface deposits and excess sand or dust.
Then all windows, rams, lights, gauges, or any
other items on a machine that have to be masked
off
Painting
Each paint job goes through
a 4 step process to ensure the quality of the
paint job.
- The first is a primer coat,
which is to cover the bare metal that has been
blasted.
- Second is another pass
over the entire machine to build up the paint
on the equipment. This insures the integrity
of the job for long lasting paint.
- Third is the final coat.
This coat is the process that gives the paint
job its luster and shine.
- The last process is to
inspect the equipment and touch up any areas
of the equipment that would require it.
